Be a guest speaker at a class or be part of a career education panel presentation.

Lead by example

Less than an hour annually

Volunteer afterschool to tutor populations traditionally underrepresented in higher education and STEM fields

Teach Tutor or Mentor

Less than one day per week

Allow site visits, tour, and job shadowing opportunities for BHS students, Invite students to relevant conferences and events (complementary or at a reduced price)

Mentor a student through one of BHS' student organizations supporting populations traditionally underrepresented in STEM, such as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Jr, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Girls who Code, or the STEMinists club
